Description
A ceramic tray with hand painted majolica glaze designed by Carl Sigmund Luber (1868-1933) circa 1901 and manufactured by the ceramics firm of Johann von Schwarz located in Nuremberg, Germany. Luber worked as their chief designer between 1896 to 1906. Incised mark on bottom. The tray features a richly colored design of a woman's profile with yellow poppies. The nickel plated (possibly silver plated) copper frame has a handle on each side. The bottom features manufactures' marks / signature. The ceramic center measures 15 1/2 x 11 1/2, and the overall dimensions are 18 1/8 x 13 1/4 x 1 1/2.

Condition
Good overall. Some wear to the silver plate mounting. The top right corner of the mounting is slightly bent. A few light surface scratches.
