Northern Peru, Chimu / Chancay culture, ca 1100 - 1450 CE, A trio of Pre-Columbiann textile dolls, . They are attached to a 6 in cushion made from cotton, is stuffed with a variety of plant and animal fibers and retains its carrying strap. Each doll is made from different cloth, with arms made using reed fiber wrapped with red thread. Ex Museum deaccession.These are not cheap tourist dolls that can be bought these days in Peru, but actual 1000 year old dolls. A unique item for anyone's collection.Ex: California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.
