Pre-Columbian, Post Classic Maya, Mixtec, modern day Mexico, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. A pair of lustrous blackware examples, one a monkey effigy vessel, the other an endearing bird whistle, possibly representing a domesticated turkey. Size of monkey vessel: 2.95" W x 3.5" H (7.5 cm x 8.9 cm)
