Description

Group of Three Gilt Spelter Figural Mantle Clocks, 19th c., all time and strike, one with a seated figure, by Japy Freres; one with a standing knight on an alabaster base, by Samuel Marti; the third with a standing man next to a portrait of a woman, Seated- H.- 14 in., W.- 11 1/2 in., D.- 5 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Seated Man- Approximate ½ inch section of leaves detached but present. A flea-size hole in the center of the base. Standing Man- Back left foot lacking. Loss above the flowers on the left. Light rust and grey patina throughout. Knight- Flag detached from pole in proper left hand. Ax handle bent. Beaded liner around face lacking gilt. Several flea-size chips and light scratches to alabaster. Alabaster panel on right loose with the wire slightly visible below. A nice set. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS." NO STATEMENT REGARDING CONDITION OF ANY ITEM, WHETHER IT IS MADE ORALLY AT THE AUCTION OR ANY OTHER TIME, OR IN WRITING IN THE CATALOGUE OR ELSEWHERE, SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY.
