Description
Group of Three Gilt Spelter Figural Mantle Clocks, 19th c., all time and strike, one with a seated figure, by Japy Freres; one with a standing knight on an alabaster base, by Samuel Marti; the third with a standing man next to a portrait of a woman, Seated- H.- 14 in., W.- 11 1/2 in., D.- 5 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Seated Man- Approximate ½ inch section of leaves detached but present. A flea-size hole in the center of the base. Standing Man- Back left foot lacking. Loss above the flowers on the left. Light rust and grey patina throughout. Knight- Flag detached from pole in proper left hand. Ax handle bent. Beaded liner around face lacking gilt. Several flea-size chips and light scratches to alabaster. Alabaster panel on right loose with the wire slightly visible below. A nice set.
