Unusual French Henri II Style Carved Walnut Marble Top Sideboard, 19th c., with a large incised curved canopy back with a shelf and a pierced plate rack, on tall turned tapered columnar supports, to a base with an inset highly figured rouge marble over two frieze drawers flanked by relief carved heads, over setback dragon carved cupboard doors, flanked by tapered twist carved columns above a bottom stepped reeded edge shelf, on turned bun feet, H.- 90 in., W.- 49 in., D.- 19 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. An approximate ½ inch chip on the right corner of the crown. An approximate 4 inch circular watermark and 10 inch hairline crack in the shelf. Slight gap between the left carved panel and the frame. Two minute holes in the middle of the back. Right side of plate rack loose. Plate rack support lacking on left. Approximate ½ inch chip on the right side. A 1 inch and 3 inch vertical crack through the right cupboard door. Crack along the depth of the marble. Approximate 10 inch crack across the front left corner of the marble. A remarkable piece. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
