Mughal Carved Jade and Wootz Dagger, early 19th century, the "gathered" dark green jade hilt issuing flowers with a floral-carved pelmet and scroll guard, the wootz blade fitted with a later passementerie-trimmed green velvet-covered wood scabbard, blade l. 8-3/4", overall l. 14-1/4".

Carved hilt with two tiny scuffs to one rib and faint cracks to two flower stems. There are tiny scattered iridescent or metallic flakes within the green. Blade generally rusted/discolored with scattered pitting. Scabbard generally stained and worn.
