In generally good condition. Scattered abrading, especially along lower edge where canvas meets frame. Overall faint craquelure. Evidence of past restoration. Inpainting: cross-shaped area and horizontal line at upper left corresponding to old repairs and patch en verso canvas; at creases in sleeves; scattered small other areas. Difficult for UV light to completely penetrate varnish layer. Several areas en verso where canvas has been strengthened (please refer to additional images). Slight buckle to canvas at lower left. Layer of surface soiling. Darkening of varnish layer.
