Pair of Italian Giltwood and Gilt-Metal Two-Light Sconces, third quarter 20th century, in the Baroque taste, the carved backplates decorated with shells and flowerheads, the gilt-metal arms set with leaves and terminating in wooden candle sockets, h. 23-1/2", w. 9", d. 7".

In overall very good condition with no visible losses, cracks or repairs. Sconces are screwed to the wall, so the reverse sides were not examined. The candle cups themselves are "sturdy"; however, one arm on one sconce is loose, because the screw that affixes it to the backplate on the reverse needs to be tightened.
