Victor Vasarely (French/Hungarian, 1906-1997) "Kaglo II" Signed Limited Edition Framed Serigraph Numbered 7/250 - This rare piece is an original serigraph by French-Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely. The piece is a brilliant composition in red, green, grey, and has a black matte. It is circa 1980's, hand-numbered in pencil 7/250 in the lower left corner, and is signed in pencil by Vasarely in the lower right corner. The piece (including the frame) measures 42"L x 42"W. Victor Vasarely is a French-Hungarian artist, known as a "grandfather" and leader of the "Op Art" movement. Vasarely produced art and sculpture using optical illusion. For three decades, he developed his style of geometric abstract art, working in various materials. Vasarely's paintings and sculpture utilized geometrical shapes and colorful graphics to create illusions of spatial depth on two-dimensional surfaces. His works sell for tens of thousands of dollars.
