Loose in Arche wove-covered wrappers, cloth chemise, and matching slipcase. Deluxe edition limited in 100 numbered copies on Arches paper, with an original lithograph by Picasso dated 10.2.54 signed in red pencil. This book provides a complete documentary record of the two Picasso’s murals: La guerre et la paix, in the Chapel at Vallauris, South of France. Studies in pencil, preparatory sketches, related to the two murals, and also several reproductions of works done by Picasso in the 40th, which attest the artist hatred of war and desire for the peace. The text that accompany this rare edition is from Claude Roy, a conversation with Picasso during the 1950/ 1954 reflecting on the man and his way of working. The Roy's essay: L'energie de l'espoir, complete the text of this book. Ref: Cramer #67.
