A 19th century silver necklace set with antique gems and an antique coin. There is a large Macedonian coin in the middle, a drachma from the era of Alexander the Great, 336-323 BC. Surrounding it are six antique Roman gems, two with images of a horse, two with portraits, one depicting Bacchus the God of Wine and one showing an additional figure. There is also a small opal above and a small, antique malachite below. The gems are all from the time between 200 BC and 300 AD. They are brass encased.
