Her illustration work included Modern Handcraft Magazine, Workbasket Magazine and Workbench Magazine.She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Kansas City Art Institute and with Joseph Fleck in Taos, New Mexico and Olga Dormandi in Paris, France.Memberships included the National League of American Pen Women, which she served as state art chairman from 1971 to 1972.Selonke is known to have done watercolor landscapes and also painted in oils.
