Meyrick and Smith authored a number of influential works on English costume, the present volume inspired by William Stukeley‘s work on Stonehenge and includes an illustration of the "Grand Conventional Festival of the Britains" at Stonehenge. The illustrations with perhaps more than a bit of a romantic style. Tooley 326, Prideaux 344.

Binding rubbed, detached from text block, light foxing within; internally very good.
