Description
Made by J. & E. Stevens Company Cromwell, Ct. - Circa 1911 Teddy Roosevelt left for an extended safari in Africa not long after he left the White House in 1909. Back home in the US, his adoring fan base waited with relish for every detail about his hunting expeditions as reported in the press. The Lion Hunter Bank depicts Teddy fearlessly staring down the length of his rifle to confront a ferocious lion. To operate the bank, cock the rifle’s trigger and place a coin flat on the barrel. When the lever is pressed, you will witness the lion rear up while the coin is shot at him. However, the coin deflects off the rocks and drops into the bank. Material: Cast Iron
