Collection of letters and papers signed by prominent British figures, including: Lord Palmerston (signed passport allowing Mr James Baker Pyne and Mr William Evans to travel on the continent), the Duke of Montrose, John Bright (signature written on the lower margin of an engraved portrait), John Lubbock (autograph letter signed to Mr Poltes, saying "I am glad your son is going and doubt not that he will profit by his trip", one page, 8vo , London 10 April 1873), Evelyn Ashley, Thomas Burt (autograph letter signed to Mr Slater, reading "Mr Fenwick and I have just seen Lord Grey. He is willing to preside, but he is going abroad shortly and he fears he cannot add to his engagements before he leaves. Any time in June he will make suit him.
