Description
Of upright rectangular shape, the panel is finely decorated with a pair of birds perching on a branch above various flowers including chrysanthemum, narcissus, and lingzhi, along with irregular rockwork on the bottom, the side with flowering branch issuing from rock, all crafted in kingfisher and other feathers of turquoise, purple, and golden tones. The hongmu frame is carved with stylized scrolling branch pattern in relief, the inner border with key-fret pattern. Qing Dynasty Daoguang period.
