Description
The delicately cast Taoist god Wenchang Wang shown seated upright with hands clasped beneath long robes secured with a tasselled apron falling between cloud-shaped shoes, the benign bearded head set with a high curled hat accented by beading and secured with a hatpin and braids knotted under the chin, with traces of gilt on face and chest. Ming Dynasty period.
