Description
The lot features two authentic original catlinite pipestone peace pipe bowls both from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The first shows a T-shaped bowl with long tapering prow and tall bowl chamber from circa 1890. The second shows an elbow-shaped bowl with artful silver inlay and dates to circa 1930. Both pieces shows well-kept original condition and are truly wonderful Provenance: From the personal collection of renowned collector and foremost knowledge on war clubs and tomahawks, Mark Francis. The Francis collection piece and has been authenticated. The larger piece measures 4" x 9" and the smaller one measures 2.75" x 3.75".
