Description
A George III pair of silver tablespoons with initialled terminals, hallmarked George Smith (III), London 1786, length measures 8 3/8 inches (21.5 cm). Together with a pair of William IV silver table forks of double struck Kings pattern with engraved crest and initials to the reverse of the terminals, hallmarked Adey Bellamy Savory, London 1830 and a silver fish knife with mother-of-pearl handle. Gross weighable silver 10.54 ozt (327.7 grams).
Condition
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The tablespoons are engraved with 'B' to the terminals, the bowls appear to have been overly polished. The table forks have a crest of a lion juggling a ball with the initials RM beneath. The fish knife blade has hallmarks for Birmingham and the ferrule has hallmarks for Sheffield. Hallmarks clear and legible.
