Christo (American/Bulgarian, born 1935) and Jeanne-Claude (Moroccan/French, 1935-2009). A cornucopia of items related to a variety of projects including: "The Pont Neuf Wrapped" - [17] 4" H x 6" W and [3] 9" H x 4.5" W postcards; [2] 4.5" H x 8.5" W pamphlets, all signed; "Wrapped Trees" - [4] 4" H x 6" W and [2] 4.75" H x 9.25" W postcards, and [3] 5" H x 7" W color photographs by Wolfgang Volz, all signed; "Wrapped Floors and Stairways and Covered Windows" - photographs, exhibition materials and a signed postcard. Included in the lot is also a copy of the book "Christo and Jeanne-Claude" by Jacob Baal-Teshuva published by Taschen, signed by the artists and by photographer Wolfgang Volz, inscribed with the edition number "86/100," and accompanied by a special edition black and white photograph of the "Wrapped Reichstag" signed by Christo and Jeanne-Claude and numbered with edition "86/100." The book and photograph are contained together within a metallic linen fold-down case, imprinted with "Christo and Jeanne-Claude" on the cover. The lot is accompanied by a variety of printed materials, including five vintage 1976-7 magazines containing articles about the project "Running Fence," copies of acceptance and rejection letters sent out to potential employees for "The Running Fence" project on official A&H Builders, Inc. letterhead, and a plethora of unsigned postcards and pamphlets of various Christo and Jeanne-Claude projects. Also included in the lot are two cotton t-shirts: yellow, size XL, inscribed "Running Fence" and black, size L, inscribed "Christo/Wrapped Coast/Valley Curtain/Running Fence/Wrapped Walk Ways/Surrounded Islands."
