This lot consists of an original dry point etching on paper, by Pierre-Auguste entitled "Le Chapeau Épinglé (1 Planche)." Depicted in this etching are two girls, both donned in large sun hats. One, with her back towards the viewer, is adjusting the flower that is attached to the other girls hat. That girl sits hunched over with her hand almost touching her chin. This piece is signed on the lower right corner and is dated from 1910. On the verso of this piece is a piece of paper noting the provenance of the piece. The etching is mounted on black foam with gold detailing. Overall this piece is in wonderful condition with very minimal wear to the foam. Very Good-Excellent 8 - 3/4" x 6 - 1/4".
