Description

Standard military issue and inspected Civil War era percussion revolver features six shot, single action, octagon barrel and two piece walnut grips with brass trigger guard. Exhibits all of the martial inspector marks; "C" on trigger guard, "C" on barrel, "L" on left side of frame. Gun is basically a gray patina, mixed with brown. Grips are very good. Has a strong rifled bore. Cylinder indexes fine. Barrel markings are light. Original nipples. Left grip is carved, "HQ". Nice, honest example of popular Civil War revolver. Serial Number-61231; Manufacturer-Remington; Model-1858; Caliber-.44 Percussion; Barrel Length-8"; FFL Status-Antique;
