Description
Shotgun was made in 1952. The model 24 was Winchester's attempt to develop a medium priced, double barrel shotgun. Like the model 21, it was a top lever break down model, offered is a standard - model with double triggers, raised matted rib, plain pistol grip walnut stock with plain semi beavertail forend. This model was discontinued in 1957. This has a boxlock action, blued finish, twin beads, barrels retain approx. 60-70% thinning blue finish, mirror bores. Frame has approx. 80% finish as does trigger guard with overall high edge and carry wear. Stocks excellent, has a brown waffle Pachmeyr pad. Lock up is tight as new. This is a sturdy, post war shotgun that would serve the purpose for anyone looking for a quality built, inexpensive shotgun for hunting.
