Description
Manufactured 1910. Features Krupp fluid steel barrels, wide matted solid rib with single bead, splinter forearm, Anson release, auto-ejectors, boxlock, top tang safety, double set triggers, round knob, checkered walnut with checkered side panels and a solid red pad. All matching numbers. Grade is stamped at the inside bottom of frame. Barrels retains approximately 90% blue finish with thinning at breech. Frame is stamped "Ansley H. Fox" and retains approximately 20% case colors with light border and scroll engraving. Checkering is sharp. Stock has beautifully refinished to near mint condition with beautiful grain. Lock-up is tight as new with no wiggle. The Fox Company operated out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania manufacturing boxlock hammerless doubles only in medium and high grades.
