Front of body finely and professionally engraved with British crest and "DIEU ET/MON DROIT" banner above two attentive branches. Serrated pie crust edge around wooden plug, which is covered with period red velour and fitted with a brass ring on an octagonal plaque. Brass spout stamped "PATENT" and small brass ring fitted to body, near spout. Excellent condition; engraving is crisp and original to the period. Nice mellow patina overall, with some dirt around turnings from age. Some minor losses around plug due to thin walls. Brass spout retains dark patina. Complete with old string strap. Serial Number-NA;
