Description
Octagonal rifled barrel with brass front sight and rear notch sight. Flat flintlock lockplate. Brass furniture includes nose cap, ramrod ferrules, trigger guard engraved on bow and finial with an Edelweiss, sideplate and butt cap also engraved with an Edelweiss. Plain walnut stock with relief carved panels around lock and sideplate and wooden ramrod with bone tip. This pistol is in good condition but is most likely a composite made up of some original parts and some contemporary parts. Barrel retains a dark grey patina with some edge wear. Lockplate appears to be contemporary and in original flintlock configuration. Brass polished in some areas with other areas retaining an applied brown finish. Stock is very good as heavily sanded with some cracks and scattered marks from use.
