Description
A) Extremely rare example of a circa 1650 belt knife with fixture to make it into a bayonet. The socket attached to the complete one would allow the soldier to use this as a bayonet. Early iron blade and guard with original scabbard. Wood handle with a crack from age. Iron fixture at bottom that can be fixed onto the barrel of a musket with a screw. Measures 15 inches long. B) Same example as first knife but in relic condition lacking the combination tool, handle is mostly eaten away. Measures 11.5 inches. C) C. 1650 forged iron spontoon head. Measures 12 3/8 inches long.
