Description
The rattle alarm is a detailed carved figure of a horse. The tin attachment allows for the rattle sound when used. It was a common signal tool among soldiers for communication. Overall in good condition, tin has some rusting, still in working condition. Measures 7-¾ inches long x 7 inches tall. The silhouette features a horse jumping over a log with a tree in the background. The paper alone measures 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches. There is some fading and browning to the piece, which is framed in a later frame, frame shows some wear.
