Manufactured 1922. This is a standard Winchester Model 1895 chambered for the somewhat scarce .30-03 cartridge that was used in the original Springfield Model 1903 U.S. Military rifle, and not to be confused with the .303 British or the .30-06, as this is an entirely different cartridge. Features full round barrel, sporting front and rear sight, blued finish, walnut forend with ebony tip and Schnabel and rifle walnut buttstock with steel rifle plate. Barrel retains approximately 85-90% original factory blue, thinning a bit at breech with high edge muzzle wear. Has 30% blue in the protected magazine area. Balance of frame is patina and gun metal grey. Stocks are excellent and not cracked. Action is fine. Strong, clean rifled bore. Nice, clean example in scarce caliber.
