Comprised of: 1) Maroon red fez of fur felt, approximately 8" tall with tassel. 2) reproduction Union Officer's kepi of blue wool with red visor, trimmed with gold bullion, soutache lace. Russet leather sweatband and black cotton lining. Two brass button with American eagle and shield. 3) Military cap with crown made of blue cloth applied over pressboard body or shell, with yellow worsted band around bottom of crown and leather visor and chinstraps. Brown linen lining with black leather swearband. Top pushed in and with tear in cloth. 4) Yeoman-crown shako of black felt body with recessed, black lacquered leather top and visor. Leather sweatband and linen liner. Cap mounted with heavy, braided, gold bullion cap lines with tasseled ends. Shako plate missing. Shows wear, small tears, and areas of leather torn off. 5) French Napoleonic-type, Polish lancers Czapka. Polish crimson wool squared upper body over leather skull and visor, the latter embossed with figural trim along edges. Trimmed with white worsted tape and soutache braid. Stamped tin, circular, tricolor cockade--apparently repainted. Leather sweatband and blue, polished cotton lining.Shows heavy use and repairs. Lining and sweat pan loose. Slight damage to the side. Brass side buttons in the forms of lionheads for chinstraps (missing). No front plate.
