Description
A fine Teotihuacan tripod vase from Mexico, ca. 200 - 400 AD. This nice Late Xolalpan example is 4-5/8" high, 5-1/8" in diameter and has a widely flared rim. Texture was created by polishing alternating sections. An elegant form with extensive mineral deposits and root marks. Cf. Rattray "Teotihuacan", page 549, for similar from the "Old Museum" at Teotihuacan.
