Description
A brilliantly colored, fragmented Uzbek bag face. An old and very beautiful weaving in spite of the obvious issues with condition. The design, the ubiquitous ‘dyrnak’ gol adapted from Turkmen iconography is spaciously rendered and quite attractive given the bold quality of the drawing. The condition is immediately apparent in the photos but it is complete from end to end with flat weave end finish extant and though the sides are a little ragged, they too are ‘complete’ with traces of original selvedge intact. Requires mounting/stabilizing. SIZE 3''2" x 1''1"
