Description
The Arisaka rifles were designated with the year of the current emperor's reign. Thus, the Type 38 rifle was designed in the 38th year of the reign of Emperor Meiji (1905), and the Type 44 carbine was adopted in the 44th year of the reign of Emperor Meiji (1911). This is a series I Kokura Arsenal Serial # 00202 from 1933 with a type III Bayonet. It is a surrendered weapon that had the Imperial mark removed before being turned over at the end of WWII. It shows a history of use and looks solid....see photos!!
