Description
Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, ca. 500 to 1500 CE. A small, hand-molded pottery figure that doubles as a whistle. The figure has jaguar features - a long, curling tail, black spots and lines on its body, and a jaguar-face, but it stands bipedally and has human-like arms and breasts - is this a female shaman in the process of transformation? Size: 3.6" L x 2.9" W x 3.6" H (9.1 cm x 7.4 cm x 9.1 cm)
