Description
Constans ( Augustus, 337 - 350 AD ) struck bronze coin. Minted in Nicomedia ( modern Izmit ) Turkey; found in the Ihnasayah Hoard, Egypt, before 346 AD. Sold on behalf of the Royal Ontario Museum, with a museum inventory number. The hoard, discovered in 1903, was purchased in 1905 at Lhnasyah in the Fayyum. The hoard was examined by J. G. Milne & covered in his analysis in 1914 in the Journal International dĆrcheologie Numismatique. The hoard totaled more than 6000 coins.
