Cenedese (est. 1946)
Gino Cenedese founded his own glassworks in 1946. Until 1950 he worked primarily with the master Alfredo Barbini; afterwards, Antonio da Ros was responsible for the production in his function as artistic director. Further important designers of the factory were Fulvio Bianconi, Riccardo Licata and Ermanno Nason, who implemented designs of Marc Chagall and Georges Braque. Cenedese produced pieces for the market with traditional shapes in bright colors; on the other hand it created objects with reference to contemporary art. (tm)
