Excerpt from the Times Herald-Record (Middletown, NY), July 11, 2014:
Aaron was a World War II veteran, carpenter, union organizer, and professor and chair of the department of Sociology at SUNY, New Paltz. He founded a college credit program for inmates in New York State prisons. He spent much of his spare time as a sculptor and wood worker, creating many works based on his social conscience. He and Louise had a unique and meaningful life. They fought for civil rights, peace, and social justice.
