Description
A late nineteenth century Dutch silver beaker, the cylindrical form embossed with figurative and animal scenes and raised on three ball feet. Dutch hallmarks including Minerva and the lion passant, also date letter for 1883. Height measures 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm), weight 2.84 ozt (88.6 grams).
Condition
The beaker displays general wear and tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. Some minor dints and bumps and impressions from the feet are visible to the interior. A couple of splits and a few nicks around the rim and it is a little misshapen. Small solder repair around the base rim, visible to the interior. A couple of small holes in the ball feet. Some rubbing and loss of surface definition to the decoration. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
