Provenance: The collection of Lucy Nunnally, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Condition
Attractive service in generally good condition. Scattered oxidation and tiny flakes to the iron-red decoration throughout along with very scattered flaked losses to the glazed rim edges, primarily to platters, tureens and the two underplates. Very scattered MINOR rubbing at some upper edges of plates, probably due to stacking. A few losses to a raised painted dot or two scattered throughout. Platters, tureens and underplates with some degree of darkened areas around the foot. All of the above consistent with age. There is no indication of actual use. PLATTERS: 17-1/2" - General craquelure and overall pale tan discoloration with a small darker area or two. 15-1/2" - Faint 1" shallow glaze scratch at the recessed center. 13" - Recessed edge with a discolored area (approx. 4" x 1-1/4"). 11" - General craquelure with a small area of discoloration with several darker glaze cracks. Two 10-1/4" - General fine craquelure. PAIR VEGETABLE TUREENS: Overall interior of one bowl with pale brown discoloration. Both with darkened wear to foot edges. PAIR SMALL SAUCE TUREENS: Both generally good. DINNER PLATES: Generally good with scattered minor issues as described in the second paragraph above. SOUP BOWLS: One with general craquelure and a dark "X" glaze crack at one recessed side. SALAD/DESSERT PLATES: Two with darkened wear around the foot. One with a spider glaze crack within the recessed center of the foot.
