Bedeutende Stele eines sitzenden Buddha Shakyamuni in schwarzem Chloritstein (Black Stone). Auf flachem, doppeltem Lotosthron sitzend, darunter ein Säulensockel mit zwei wachenden Löwen. Buddha ist in ein einfaches, faltenreiches Mönchsgewand gekleidet, die Hände in varamudra, dem Gestus der Erdanrufung gehalten. Flankiert von Apsaras und zwei angedeuteten Stupas ist der Kopf umgeben von einem Nimbus, darüber ein Baldachin aus Blattwerk. Alterssp., leicht best., Steinpatina.

Important stele of a sitting Buddha Shakyamuni in black chlorite stone. Buddha sculpture on flat, double-lotus pedestal supported by two guard lions. Buddha is wearing a simple, heavily pleated monk´s gown, his hands held in varamudra, the Calling the Earth to Witness gesture Flanked by Apsaras and two implied Stupas, his head is surrounded by a nimbus and a scrollwork canopy. Signs of ageing, with minimal damage. Stone with patina.
