Description
The Saint's Everlasting Rest, or A Treatise on The Blessed State of The Saints in Their Enjoyment of God in Heaven. Whew! What a title! This is an original title page from an early 1700's book printed in Philadelphia. The author, Rev. Richard Baxter, was born in 1615 and died in 1691. This book was published in the US and England several times through the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries. This edition's hand-printed title page is strongly engraved in a way that shows a developing American Aesthetic. A great addition to any Americana/Colonial/Religious collection, or just an interesting conversation piece for History buffs. The page is archivally mounted in an acid-free mat, and installed in an early 20th Century frame, under non-reflective museum glass. Frame size is 11.5" x 9.5"
