"FIGHTING MEN OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" PEWTER FIGURES
Complete set of thirteen hand-painted pewter figures, each approx. 4" tall, issued by the Franklin Mint from 1975 to 1977, in celebration of the Bicentennial. Each figure represents a soldier from one of the original thirteen American colonies, hand-painted by artists Joe Bles and Pat O'Neill to accurately recreate the uniforms worn by the soldiers of those colonies. Each figure is housed in a styrofoam case with an olive-green paperboard slipcase, and present with the set are ten of the original thirteen informational booklets and certificates of authenticity, although one book and certificate are mismatched. The figures are in fine condition, with the exception of that for Delaware, whose lantern is broken off but present, while the cases bear expected scuffs and creases.
