SAMUEL PARSONS
(1737 - 1789) American lawyer and general in the Continental Army. Parsons led at Bunker Hill, Battle Hill in New York, and White Plains. It was also Parsons who discovered Benedict Arnold's treason. Parsons MG", 1p. oblong 8vo., [n.p.], May 28, 1781, a receipt issued for: "...twelve yards of linen...three pair of shoes...four blankets...for the use of my family...". Fine. At this point in the war, Parson had been ruined both physically and financially. Fine.
