EZRA L'HOMMEDIEU
(1734 - 1811) American lawyer and statesman, a delegate for New York to the Continental Congress (1779 to 1783) and again in 1788. Manuscript D.S., 1p. legal folio, New York, Mar. 10, 1787, a loan of 111 pounds given unto L'Hommardieu and Nathaniel G. Ingraham, signed by both at bottom and witnesses by New Jersey merchant Alexander P. Walton. Slightly soiled and worn, still very good. Ingraham, a ship captain, would later go bankrupt but would be relieved by an act of Congress.
