Georg Jensen (1866-1935)
Georg Jensen was a Danish silversmith and artist. Jensen completed his studies as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen in 1901 and then started working for the respected court jeweler Michelsen. By 1904, Jensen began producing his first pieces of jewelry in Art Nouveau style. Jensen’s simple and elegant designs made his work instantly timeless. Today, his highly artistic workmanship still elicits admiration.(kre)
