Collection of 31 Military Buttons Including Confederate and Early American Examples. The lot includes 20 Confederate or southern examples featuring two South Carolina 22mm, two-piece, state-seal coat buttons with Horstmann & Allien maker marks; North Carolina state-seal coat button; Virginia state-seal button; Kentucky Military Institute button; Louisiana State Seal button; three Georgia examples; two Mississippi examples; three Texas buttons including two remnants; and one-piece cast examples of a Confederate General Staff, Army General Service, and Infantry button. The remainder of the collection includes five examples of military coat buttons from the 1808-1821 period; a New York Hudson River Institute coat button; Massachusetts Volunteer Militia button, and two other Massachusetts state buttons.

Condition: Good. The collection includes a few ground-dug examples; a few have dents and some are in very good condition.
