A Louis XVI-Style Alabaster, Paste Diamond, and Gilt Bronze-Mounted Lyre Clock retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Co., late 19th century

22-1/4 inches high (56.5 cm)
The clock surmounted by female figurehead surrounded by sunburst, lyre-form alabaster frame adorned with gilt bronze foliate swags, string-form pendulum, central clock face surrounded by wreath of paste diamonds, double-barrel French clock mechanism which chimes at half hour and hourly increments, raised on conforming ovoid base and toupie feet.
