Rare Etzel (Irgun) Football Trophy In Memory of Dov Cohen (Shimshon) - Acre Prison Break Commander, 1950s.
With a shield shape plaque inscribed in Hebrew - Football Wandering Trophy in Memory of Shimshon (Dov Cohen) Acre Prison Break Commander.
Tapering form trophy with two large handles, the cover is topped with a sculptured figure holding the Etzel's emblem (Rak Kach).
The trophy comes with a wooden base but not connected to it (probably some missing parts).

The Acre Prison break was an operation undertaken by the Irgun on May 4, 1947, in the British Mandate of Palestine, in which its men broke through the walls of Acre prison and freed 28 incarcerated Irgun and Lehi members.
Dov Cohen, AKA - Shimshon, was selected to lead the operation and died during the operation.
