Pre-Columbian, Mexico, ca. 300 BCE 300 CE. Attractive pottery vessel in the form of a Cargador - burden carrier. Nude male standing with shoulders stooped over, large olla resting on his back, facial expression clearly shows he is not happy about his labors. Nice root-marked surface! Size: 9-3/4"H. Provenance: Ex-Sarkisian Gallery Denver, CO acquired before 1970.
