This Triumph model N is offered with a complete documentation of its history. The bike has an original British registration document. It is complete and well preserved, over the past decades it was kept in a collection and was not in use at all.
The Triumph 500 cc Model N was the next level of development of the Model P, the best-selling motorcycle by the British company Triumph Engineering Co Ltd. Introduced at the International Motor Show in 1924, it soon became a best-seller. Some 10,000 units were produced every week. Up until the end of production in 1926, several variants had been introduced on the market, among them the models N, Q, and QA. The Triumph 500 cc Model N featured the same robust engine as the Model P, a semi-automatic lubrication pump, as well as a later version of the gearbox from the Model P was added. These parts were built into a revised frame with Webb springer fork. A real drum brake on the rear wheel hub replaced the caliper brake. This is how one of the most comfortable and most useful motorcycles of all times came into existence.
